Loaded with information on one of the greenest cities in the world, Footprintfocus Perth will take you from the vistas of Kings Park to late afternoon barbecues at Trigg Beach.
Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world, and yet for many people that is the source of its charm. People are laidback here, even by Australian standards; so while the city itself is sparkling and modern the pace is relaxed and easygoing. Stroll around Kings Park and enjoy the views over the city, go sailing in the Indian Ocean or pig out at a late afternoon barbecue down at Trigg Beach. When you tire of the beach trek inland for more earthy activities, such as mountain biking in the beautiful Perth Hills. Footprintfocus Perth will take you from outdoor cinemas to sandy beaches, with detailed and up-to-dare information to ensure your trip is as laidback as the locals themselves.
• Essentials section with practical advice on getting there and around.
• Highlights section so you know what not to miss.
• Comprehensive listings of where eat & sleep, plus where to go waterskiing, sailing or parasailing.
• Detailed street maps to help you get around.
• Includes coverage of the surrounding region.

Loaded with advice and information, this concise Footprintfocus guide will help you get the most out of Perth without weighing you down.

The content of Footprintfocus Perth guide has been extracted from Footprint’s West Coast Australia Handbook.

Sara Chare is a freelance editor and writer based in the UK. She was brought up in Luxembourg and has lived in Paris, Sydney and a number of UK towns and cities. Sara has travelled extensively in Australia, where she spent four months in a campervan compiling updates for Footprint's West Coast Australia Handbook, and has a enduring love of Asia. She recently updated Footprint's guide to Sri Lanka. Inveterate Aussiephile Andrew Swaffer travelled and worked on and off for several years around parts of Asia, Australia and New Zealand while attempting to hold down various jobs in book publishing in the UK. Australia was always his first love and so, after working in the sales department at Footprint for a year, he went on a two-year odyssey of epic proportions to write his part of the guide. Andrew now juggles the dual roles of co-author of Footprint’s West Coast Australia Handbook and a marketing position at Footprint’s Australian distributors in Sydney, where he has also been the publisher of a very successful series of walking and outdoor guides. West Australian Katrina O’Brien studied journalism in Perth before travelling in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Several years in book publishing taught her the value of a deadline and how to understand authors. She lived in England for four years before the longing for sunshine and space became too strong and she returned to Australia to become an author herself. After two years on the road researching the guide, and an idyllic stint in Kalbarri (WA), writing Footprint’s West Coast Australia Handbook Katrina moved to Sydney where she now works as an editor and is the author of the best-selling walking guide Sydney’s Best Harbour and Coastal Walks.
