Adventurer Steve Backshall is the BBC's most exciting new natural history presenter
Looking For Adventure is the gripping, inspiring story of how Steve Backshall realised his childhood ambition of being an explorer. A visit to a museum as a boy prompted a lifelong fascination with Papua New Guinea, on of the world's last great unexplored wildernesses. It was here that gave Steve was finally able to follow in the footsteps of heroes like 19th Century naturalist Alfred Wallace. Growing up in Surrey it had seemed unlikely. But, as Steve realised, anything is possible. As well as telling Steve's story, Looking for Adventure is a thrilling, page-turning narrative that weaves in the astonishing history, geography and biology of an extraordinary country. And it is the debut of an exciting new non-fiction author.
