Michael Hodd is an economist who studied at Cambridge, the London School of Economics and Princeton and is now the Vice Chancellor of Baze University in Abuja. His Academic career was based in Australia and London but his research focus has been Africa where he has lived for several prolonged periods and for which his enthusiasm remains unabated. Angela Roche has been editing East African travel guides for the past 15 years. She has travelled extensively in Africa since childhood and the lure that Africa generates continues to draw her back. Her research and field work for the Footprint guides has had a symbiotic relationship with her community-based healthcare work in London amongst the African diaspora.
