Follow the traces of Hoffmann, Wagner, Loos & Co through Vienna: Falters CITYwalk guide "Viennese Jugendstil" invites to a different kind of sightseeing.
No need for Jugendstil enthusiasts to search any longer in city maps, guides, name and address registers. "Viennese Jugendstil" delivers compact, overseeable and informative passages on Viennese architecture around 1900. Falters CITYwalks open up new perspectives under the motto "Walking & Seeing". The series hopes to prompt its readers to go for walks so they can better see. To take city walks.

"Viennese Jugendstil" takes the visitor on four routes to the most beautiful and important attractions of the Viennese fin de siècle: to the Secession, to Otto Wagner's city railway stations, to the bars and shops of Adolf Loos and to the villas of Josef Hoffmann. Together, the choice and order of buildings, architectural information and map excerpts, as well as walk descriptions, supplementary information and system of directions, create a compact guide, which also points out essential deviations from the topic by recommending diversions of all kind.
The four routes described in the book allow to proceed at leisure. One can either go for the objects highlighted in red or follow the entire route. Every now and then buildings and institutions are pointed out that are not directly linked to the fin de siècle and provide additional insight into the city. Red symbols indicate a broad selection of cultural and culinary stops, with plenty of opportunities to stroll around, rest, shop, eat and drink.
