She is the author of The Rough Guide to Cuba, The Rough Guide to Havana (with Matthew Norman), and The Rough Guide to Cuba 3 (also with Matthew Norman). Matthew Norman first visited Cuba in 1995 when he spent a year living with a Cuban family in Centro Habana and taking courses at the University of Havana.
