The full-colour guide to over 100 fantastic destinations. Includes detailed information on facilities, and covers Bondi to Springwood, Wiseman's Ferry to Royal National Park.
Sydney has one of the most beautiful settings in the world, but its not just the Harbour that is capable of creating a little magic. In and around Sydney are stirring headlands, parks large and small (with excellent facilities), undisturbed bushland and slow, peaceful rivers. There are thousands of places to spread out a picnic blanket, unpack a hamper and soak up the great Australian outdoors, and in Sydneys Best Picnic Spots, Parks & Reserves youll find the very best of them. Coverage includes the Royal National Park in the south, the Blue Mountains and Wisemans Ferry in the north.

Veechi Stuart is a freelance author, journalist and former Sydney Morning Herald columnist. Veechi has lived in the Sydney region since 1987 and is passionate about bushwalking, the local community and the environment. Veechi is also the author of Blue Mountains Best Bushwalks and co-author of Sydney's Best Picnic Spots and Beaches. Andrew Swaffer has worked in publishing for over 20 years, several of these writing for the Footprint series of travel guides (co-authoring two Australian guides with Katrina OBrien), and now works for local Sydney publisher Woodslane Press. His love of the outdoors led him to develop this new series of Woodslane outdoor guides. Catherine Proctor is a freelance author and editor who has lived on Sydney's Northern Beaches for over 20 years. She is the author of several books and is co-author of two other books for Woodslane: Sydney's Best Picnic Spots, Parks & Reserves and Sydney's Best Beaches & Rock Baths. Catherine took up the challenge of writing this book while simultaneously recruiting an essential new part of the family to help' with research!
