Lin is an assistant professor at the Department of Criminal Justice, Ming Chuan University, Taiwan, and an affiliated lecturer of the School of Social & Political Sciences at the University of Glasgow, UK. He is also a member of the American Society of Criminology, the Strategic Hub for Organised Crime Research of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the ECPR Standing Group on Organised Crime (SGOC), the International Association for the Study of Organized Crime, and the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. Dr. Lin has published numerous articles in scientific journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, policy papers, and two co-edited books on transnational crime and unconventional security. He received a Ph.D. from the School of Social Sciences and Global Studies, the University of Southern Mississippi, USA.
