Deviance through technology and media is explained. The authors then examine substance abuse, gun violence, terrorism, adolescent substance use, deviance and crime, fear of terrorism, gun violence, Kurdish pride gang, media exposure, secularization and modernity, social control, social order, and the impact of covid-19 on children’s lives.

The author examines parental responsibility for their children’s development. The authors then summarize the functionalist perspective of deviance, the function of crimes, and how these perspectives have influenced the development of Emile Durkheim’s work like anomie. The authors then turn their attention to fear of crime in regard to social order.
