The author of Judging Medicine, Standard Care, and Some Choice: Law, Medicine and the Market, he is a regular contributor to the New England Journal of Medicine and also a cofounder of Global Lawyers and Physicians, a transnational association of lawyers and physicians working together to promote human rights and health.
