International crime and justice is an emerging field that covers crime and justice from a global perspective. This book introduces the nature of international and transnational crimes, theoretical foundations to understanding the relationship between social change and the waxing and waning of the crime opportunity structure, globalization, migration, culture conflicts, and the emerging legal frameworks for their prevention and control. Mangai Natarajan is a professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. She is an award-winning policy-oriented researcher who has published widely in international criminal justice. To date she has edited ten books including a special issue on Crime in Developing Countries for Crime Science Journal and authored a monograph, Women Police in a Changing Society: Back Door to Equality (2008). She is the founding director of the International Criminal Justice Major at John Jay.
