Distribution on Intestacy

This text is designed to bring practitioners up to date with the current law and practice of intestate succession and administration. It deals with the problems of the administrative procedure that practitioners encounter in practice. Recent reforms to the Administration of Estates Act 1925, taking account of the growth in family home ownership, are covered. The implications of these reforms, which ensure that adequate provision for the inheritance of family homes on intestacy, are fully explained. The author has also taken account of the Law Reform (Succession) Act 1995 and the taxation changes introduced in the 1996 budget.
