This Handbook brings together law and economics professors to assess the state of theory and practice, and to expose fault lines in the economics and legal doctrines surrounding the interface of antitrust, intellectual property, and high tech in an increasingly globalized world.
This Cambridge Handbook, edited by Roger D. Blair and D. Daniel Sokol, brings together a group of world-renowned professors in the fields of law and economics to assess the theory and practice of antitrust, intellectual property, and high tech. With the increased globalization of antitrust, a better understanding of how law and economics shape this interface will help academics, policymakers, and practitioners to understand the existing state of academic literature, its limits, and its relevance to real-world antitrust. The book will be an essential resource for anyone seeking to understand academic and policy considerations shaping the world of antitrust, intellectual property, and high tech.

Roger D. Blair is Walter J. Matherly Professor of Economics at the University of Florida, where he has taught since 1970. He received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Professor Blair is the author or co-author of numerous books, including Proving Antitrust Damages (1996). He has also written more than two hundred articles or chapters in professional economics journals, law reviews, and books. D. Daniel Sokol is Professor of Law at the University of Florida. He focuses his teaching and scholarship on complex business issues from early stage start-ups to large multinational businesses, emphasizing antitrust issues. Sokol has published his work in law reviews, peer review journals in law and economics, books, and the popular press. The Global Competition Review named Sokol its Antitrust Academic of the Year in 2014.
