Conveyancing

This is one of the books in a series written specially for students studying on the Legal Practice Course at London Guildhall University. The material is also suitable for students studying at other institutions. The pages are laid out so as to enable students to annotate the course notes. The book aims to give students a sound understanding of the entire conveyancing process by initially concentrating on a strightforward sale/purchase of a registered freehold title. Only when students have been taken through such a transaction are they introduced to more complex dispositions, such as disposition by pesonal representatives and by attorney, sales of part and estate conveyancing, and to dispositions of unregistered freehold titles. The chapters on leasehold conveyancing which then follow deal with the grant assignment of leases in both a registered and unregistered context. The approach throughout is essentially practical and issues of professional conduct and practice are particularly highlighted. the self-assessment questions are designed to ensure that fundamental concepts have been understood before students move on to the next chapter.
