As with the first edition, Collaborative Law explains how this approach engages the unique problem-solving skills of lawyers to achieve settlements that customize outcomes in the way that few courts are able to achieve.
The third edition of Collaborative Law is substantially revised and expanded. This edition serves both as a broad, comprehensive introduction to collaborative legal practice for lawyers new to the area as well as a current reference for more experienced practitioners.

Pauline H. Tesler of Mill Valley, CA also practices family law in San Francisco, where she has been a state-certified Family Law Specialist since 1984. After years of providing litigation and appellate assistance to clients, Ms. Tesler has become a pioneer in expanding awareness of collaborative law in the United States and internationally. Her practice with clients is now limited to collaborative law, mediation, consultations, and second opinions. Ms. Tesler is a founder of the Bay Area Collaborative Law Group and of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and founding co-editor of The Collaborative Review, the first publication in the United States to focus on this powerful new dispute-resolution option. Ms. Tesler writes and speaks frequently about collaborative law in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and trains and mentors lawyers in how to achieve the "paradigm shift" required for effective collaborative law practice.
