This book combines a theoretical treatment of political allegiance with a study of ordinary citizens, examining how taxi-drivers in Britain, Germany and the Czech Republic talk politics and situate themselves relative to political institutions and other citizens.
JONATHAN WHITE Lecturer in European Politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. He was previously an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Humboldt University in Berlin and a researcher at the European University Institute in Florence. His work has appeared in Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, Political Studies and Journal of Common Market Studies.
