Law is now a compulsory component of Project 2000 courses, but one which can seem bewildering, boring or even threatening to the student nurse. This work is designed as a workbook to help nurses in training identify the legal knowledge essential to their practice. Structured around the Project 2000 framework, it presents situations involving community, hospital and institutional care, combining these with the four branches of adult, mental health, mental handicap and children's nursing. The overall aim is to make learning about the law fun through questions and other forms of active participation. The text includes instructions for teachers and students, and can be used as a distance learning package and for group work.
