This CD-ROM looks at the medical, legal and ethical issues of abortion. It contains a collection of articles, audio and video clips, ultrasonic images, laws and research statistics from sources around the world. The CD-ROM is impartial, supporting no one position on reproductive rights and allows the user to explore many opinions and issues. All Supreme Court cases involving abortion and reproduction are included with full text and WESTLAW (registered trademark) keys for ease of understanding legal terms. Also included are 138 articles from the Centre for Disease Control, which constitute 30 years of research and statistics. In addition, "Abortion and Reproductive Rights" contains hundreds of other articles from such sources as the Population Council, Law Review, the US Congress, Law Canada, The Guttmacher Institute, the ACLU, and various medical journals. A listing of important books and articles on abortion and reproductive rights is also featured. The CD-ROM's search capabilities enable users to sift through a huge volume of information quickly and easily, and it incorporates a wide variety of media to permit an understanding of the topics of abortion and reproductive rights.
