Law and Prediction in the Light of Chaos Research

Dealing with the economics of transboundary air pollution and climate change, this text contains an analysis of uncertainty and learning with regard to global warming. Specific attention is paid to non-linear and stepwise damage functions for global warming. The studies analyze various policy instruments to reduce both uniformly mixing and non-uniformly mixing pollutants. The synergistic effects of ozone precursors and their relation to acidification in Europe are also discussed.
