This work contains details of a workshop which was sponsored by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, the Office of Naval Research, and the Acoustical Society of America. The meeting provided a forum for in-depth discussion and exchange of ideas on numerous topics regarding the state-of-the-art in acoustic particle velocity sensor technologies. During the workshop, 29 technical presentations were made in the areas of particle velocity sensor designs, performance, and applications. These presentations represented current research in this field in academia, industry, and government laboratories.
