A fully searchable reference resource developed to help you make the most of the vast amount of information available in Topley & Wilson.
Topley & Wilson's Microbiology and Microbial Infections has grown from one to eight volumes since first published in 1929, reflecting the ever-increasing breadth and depth of knowledge in each of the areas covered. The tenth edition continues the tradition of providing the most comprehensive reference to microorganisms and the resulting infectious diseases currently available. Each volume includes up-to-date evidence-based reviews of clinical practice and research, all extensively referenced, ensuring that clinicians and academics have access to all the essential information in one authoritative resource. This CD-ROM is a fully searchable reference resource developed to help you make the most of the vast amount of information available in Topley & Wilson. It contains all of the text, tables, figures, equations and references from the print edition. The content is divided into the five subject areas covered by the books (Virology, Bacteriology, Medical Mycology, Parasitology and Immunology) and can be accessed by browsing through the contents for each subject or by searching across as much or as little of the content as desired using the customizable search function.
The CD-ROM has been developed to allow easy and intuitive use: each chapter is clearly laid out, with hyperlinks to accompanying figures, tables and references, and useful navigational tools include easily accessible contents lists, lists of figures and tables for each chapter, and a list of abbreviations available from every screen for quick reference. Further invaluable features allow you to: - link from references to Medline abstracts - bookmark sections of interest - save favorite searches - print and export elements of the content for further use There is also a comprehensive Help section.
