This book dives into the surging crisis of waste generation in developing nations, notably India, fuelled by the population boom, industrialization, and urban sprawl. Underscoring the vital marriage of waste recycling and sustainable agriculture, this collection beckons for informed interventions. Compiled by experts with extensive experience, it meticulously dissects diverse facets of waste recycling in agricultural practices, especially in the Indian context. Covering the ins and outs of waste materials' occurrence, properties, and recycling processes, this book probes their nuanced impacts on soil and crops, delving into fertilizer interactions, potential contamination risks, and roles in greenhouse gas mitigation. Tailored for a diverse readership — administrators, policymakers, academics, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and the general public — this compendium serves as a scientific compass for waste-smart agriculture. Beyond India's quandaries, it provides a global playbook, spotlighting agriculture as the lynchpin for insightful waste management solutions.
