This book offers a description of the prosody of the Australian language Jaminjung. It presents quantitative analyses of the patterns associated with communicative functions such as demarcating units, marking information structure and sentence types. Prosodic descriptions based on natural data are uncommon; the prosody of Australian languages is still not well understood, and instrumental studies are rare, making this study original and timely.
