Bhajan Lal, Chartered Chemist, is Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department and core research member of Center for Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilization (CCUS) in the Institute of Sustainable Energy at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (2012-conti..). After receiving MSc and Ph.D. degree (2004) from JMI Central University, New Delhi, India, Dr. Lal worked as postdoctoral research fellow and Research Scientist in the USA, Canada, South Africa, Turkey, and Malaysia. His main areas of research interests are CO2 hydrates and its application in CO2 capture and storage, desalination and; Flow Assurance. He has graduated 10 MSc, 13 Ph.D., 2 postdocs and more than 70 undergraduate FYPI students since 2013. Dr. Bhajan Lal has published 5 Research books, 12 Book Chapters, 200+Peer Review Research papers, 45 conference papers and Filed 2 Patents in CO2 gas hydrate research area with high citation record 5100 with H-index 42 and i10-index 110. In addition, as project leader, he has secured 18 gas hydrate-related research projects worth RM 4 million from oil and gas industries, UTP, and the Malaysian Government. Dr. Lal has actively participated and presented his research and teaching at national as well as international schools. Dr. Bhajan has delivered 8 Short courses related to flow assurance, production chemistry via CAPE-UTP. Anipeddi Manjusha is a research fellow, Ph.D. candidate and a graduate assistant at the Research Center for Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilization (CCUS) in the Chemical Engineering Department of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Seri Iskandar, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia. She obtained her Master degree from R V College of Engineering, Bangalore, India in Chemical Engineering. Anipeddi Manjusha is currently working on Hydrate-based carbon capture.
