Shaohua Shen is a Professor of International Research Center for Renewable Energy, and the vice director of State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. Dr. Shen obtained his B.S. degree in Applied Chemistry and Ph.D. degree in Thermal Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2004 and 2010, respectively. During 2008-2009 and 2011-2012, he worked as a guest researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at Berkeley. His research interests include synthesis of nanomaterials and development of devices for photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical solar energy conversion. He has published more than 130 peer-review papers in international journals. He sits on the Editorial Board of Science Bulletin and Chinese Chemical Letters, etc. He has chaired and is on the technical committee for SPIE conference of Solar Hydrogen & Nanotechnology and is an expert referee for NSFC (China), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Australian Research Council. Shuangyin Wang received his bachelor degree in 2006 from Zhejiang University and PhD in 2010 from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was a postdoctoral fellow working with Prof. Liming Dai (2010-2011) and Prof. A. Manthiram (2011-2012). He was a Marie Curie Fellow in the University of Manchester with Prof. K. Novoselov (2012-2013). He is currently a Professor of the Key Laboratory for Graphene Materials and Devices and College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University. His research interests are in novel carbon catalysts, defects in various crystals and their application on electrocatalysis. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles with H-index of 61.
