Prof. Gianfranco Natale has a degree in Medicine and Surgery, and attended a Specialization Course in Clinical Pharmacology at University of Pisa, Italy. His didactic activity (human anatomy) is delivered in several university courses of the medical area, including doctorate courses, masters and winter and summer schools. As academician he has many publications in various national and international journal of repute, with h-index 25. He has presented 150 research abstracts in various national and international conferences. His areas of interest in research include the following topics: morphofunctional alterations induced by stressing agents (electromagnetic fields, noise) in different organs, including heart and adrenal gland; morphometry, pharmacology and physiopathology of the experimental peptic ulcer; morphofunctional alterations of the gastrointestinal tract in experimentally induced neurodegenerative diseases; studies of gross anatomy, with particular reference to myofascia. He is director of the Museum of Human Anatomy “Filippo Civinini of the University of Pisa. For this reason, he is of also having expertise in history of medicine, with a particular attention to anatomy. Guido Bocci, MD PhD, is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Pisa with an Italian qualification to Full Professor. He is an European Certified Pharmacologist (EuCP). He maintains relevant international collaborations with various groups in Europe and North America. His international experience is closely related to the 3-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto in the Kerbel’s Laboratory, with whom he continued to work in the following decades on numerous projects. He has been a PI of various projects granted by AIRC, ITT and foundations. He is in the editorial board of various journals, associate editor of Frontiers in Oncology, Frontiers in Pharmacology and regional editor of Clinical Cancer Drugs. He has been a grant reviewer for UK association for Cancer Research, South Plains Foundation (USA), French National Cancer Institute (France), Genesis Oncology Trust (New Zealand), Innsbruck Medical University (Austria), United States-Israel Binational Science Foundation and The German Israeli Foundation. Prof. Bocci is author of 4 national and 3 international patents, he has published 174 articles on international journals, 18 chapters on international and national books, and 1 international book as an editor on metronomic chemotherapy. The main research activity of Prof. Bocci has been focused on antineoplastic chemotherapy and antiangiogenic research, including both in vitro and in vivo experimental settings, and clinical pharmacology of chemotherapeutic drugs and antiangiogenic therapies. He has been deeply involved in the birth and development of metronomic chemotherapy concept in both pre-clinical and clinical trials. Domenico Ribatti was awarded his M.D. degree in October 1981, with full marks. In 1983, D.R. joined the Medical School as Assistant at the Institute of Human Anatomy, University of Bari. In 1984, he took the specialization in Allergology. In 1989, he spent one year in Geneva, working at the Department of Morphology (Prof. R. Montesano). In 2008, he received the honoris causa degree in Medicine and Pharmacy form the University of Timisoara (Romania). D.R. is author of 866 publications as reported in PUBmed and contributed to 50 chapters to books. Overall, his papers have been cited 51153 times.
