Dr. Youji Wang is a Professor at the College of Fisheries and Science, Shanghai Ocean University. He obtained his MS in Aquaculture from Huazhong Agricultural University and his PhD in Marine Biology from the City University of Hong Kong. Dr. Wang has 14 years of experience in conducting marine biology, aquaculture, and environmental research. His current research interests focus on the response of bivalves to ocean acidification, hypoxia, warming, and emerging contaminants. Specifically, he examines the physiological effects of marine environmental changes and pollution (e.g., acidification, hypoxia, warming, microplastics, nanoparticles, flame retardants, heavy metals) on marine bivalve mollusks.
1. Overview: Ocean acidification and marine mollusks 2. Effects of ocean acidification on the reproduction of marine mollusks 3. Effects of ocean acidification on the growth and development of marine mollusks 4. Impacts of ocean acidification on physiological metabolism of marine mollusks 5. Impacts of ocean acidification on the immunity and host-microbe interactions in marine mollusks 6. Impacts of ocean acidification on the behavior of marine mollusks 7. Omics technology application in revealing the impacts of ocean acidification on marine mollusks 8. Limitations and outlook
