Dr. Navjeet Kaur received her BSc from Panjab University Chandigarh (Panjab, India) in 2008. In 2010, she completed her MSc in Chemistry from Banasthali Vidyapith. She was awarded with PhD in 2014 by the same university. With 11 years of teaching experience, she has published over 160 scientific research papers, review articles, book chapters, and monographs in the field of organic synthesis in national and international reputed journals. She has published five authored books: with Elsevier. She secured her place amongst top 2% scientists of the world in 2017 (single year ranking), 2018 (full career wise ranking), 2019 [full career wise ranking with 424 world rank (04 in India) and single year ranking with 03 world rank (01 in India)] and 2020 (full career wise ranking with 372 world rank and single year ranking with 126 world rank). In 2021, Dr. Kaur was chosen as a candidate for membership by Royal Society of Research, London, England, UK with full waiver of application fees. She is serving as an Editor-in-Chief of the 'Advanced Chemicobiology Research journal."
Synthesis of Six- and Seven-Membered Heterocycles: The Role of DMF and its Synthesis compares different synthetic approaches using DMF, including the advantages and disadvantages of those reactions, green methods, and the sustainability of reported synthetic methodologies, especially the microwave methods. The book presents several methodologies for the synthesis of six- and seven-membered heterocyclic compounds using dimethylformamide. Users will find the most up-to-date information in this fast-moving field which can be particularly challenging. With DMF drawing the attention of synthetic organic chemists, this book will help readers understand further developments in the uses of dimethylformamide beyond just its use as a polar solvent. As it can be expected that the use of dimethylformamide as a precursor will continue to grow in organic synthesis with new applications in sustainable and green chemistry, this book provides an ideal primer on the topics covered. - Compares different methods, reagents, reaction conditions, advantages and disadvantages- Discusses and compares different methodologies with green techniques- Includes reaction schemes, reaction mechanisms and the structure of reactive intermediates
