Smart Halloysite Nanotubes: Fundamentals and Applications takes its users on a journey that starts with a fundamental understanding and leads through the presentation of current research results to the latest developments and possibilities of applied use. An interesting discussion on commercialization strategies for the material concludes the 4-part manuscript, which is also complemented by an ancillary graphical abstract. Written by expert authors, the book is an essential reference for students and professional scientists or engineers in equal measure. Due to their distinctive characteristics, HNTs have garnered more and more attention by the scientific community in both academia and industry in recent years.

Deepak Rawtani is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the National Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, India. His research focuses on forensic nanobiotechnology, particularly the interaction of DNA with nanoparticles and the functionalization of halloysite nanotubes for environmental applications, drug delivery, and enzyme immobilization. In his field of research, Dr. Rawtani has published more than 75 scientific papers and manuals with reputable international journals. He not only conducts research but also serves as a NABL-empowered Technical Assessor (ISO/IEC 17025). Nitasha Khatri is a graduate in Life Sciences. She has done her post-grad and subsequently MPhil in Biotechnology. She has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science with water pollution and management as her main domains. She has over 16 years of practical experience in the field and has been serving as a Senior Scientific Officer and the Head of Laboratory at Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI, India). She has been actively contributing to studies in biomonitoring with macroinvertebrates, bioremediation with the aid of nanotechnology, rural environment management studies, and environmental conservation. Dr. Khatri has authored more than 40 scientific papers in journals of international repute and is also a returning editor for Elsevier. Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain is an Adjunct Professor and Director of laboratories in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), United States. His research is focused on the applications of nanotechnology and advanced materials, environmental management, analytical chemistry, and other various industries. Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as a prolific author and editor of around 150 books, including scientific monographs and handbooks in his research areas.
