Alberto Roghi graduated with a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Milan in 1979, specializing in cardiology and nuclear medicine. He completed a residential postgraduate course in cardiac magnetic resonance at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London in 2001.He was a consultant cardiologist at the De Gasperis Center of the Niguarda Hospital of Milan, Italy from 1979 to 2016. From 2006 to 2016, he developed and directed the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Laboratory there, where he tackled the diagnostics of cardiomyopathies, complex congenital heart diseases and rare heart diseases.He was involved in the development of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation training chain of the Italian Resuscitation Council and the European Resuscitation Council, participating in the development of teaching material and in the training of instructors from 1990 to 2000.He participated in the Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign in 2021, and is currently a clinical cardiologist for the Italian National Health Service.He is the author or co-author of 200 publications, 70 of which were peer-reviewed and published in the most important scientific journals in the sector.
