lt;p>Dr. Yoshihisa Sugimura is a Professor at the Department of Joint Research on Environment & Disaster in Coastal and Port Areas, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University. He completed the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, and joined the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in 1999. He has more than 20 years of experience in policy making, legislation, and port projects, including a secondment to the Ministry of the Environment. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, and has been in his current position since 2020. He specializes in researching port, logistics, and environmental policies, and has published many papers in international journals. He is well-versed in the practical and academic aspects of the port, logistics, and environmental fields.
