This book provides detailed introduction and includes recent research information on plasma sources and their biological and medical applications. The opening chapters discuss plasmas physics and chemistry and plasma-activated liquids. The later part of the book discusses emerging application in medicine and biology. This book also provides valuable clinical insights into the treatment of ulcerations, wounds, cancer, dentistry, or the use of cold plasma in health and hygiene. Main target audience of this book are researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, government agencies, academicians', engineers, biologists, medical doctor, biochemists, and industries.

Prof. Eun Ha Choi is working as Director and Professor of Plasma Bioscience Research Center, Applied Plasma Medicine Center, and Department of Electrical & Biological Physics/Department of Plasma Bioscience & Display, at Kwangwoon University at Seoul, South Korea, since 1992. He has also worked as Senior Researcher positions at Korea Reserach Institute of Standards and Science (1990-1992), Visiting Professir at Texas Tech University (2001-2003), and Assistant Professor/Research Contractor at Hampton University/NASA (1989-1990) and Post Doctor/Research Associaate at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC)/Catholic University at MD, USA (1987-1989), in the field of pulsed plasma physics and charged particles. With 35 years' experience in the field of plasma physics and medicine, he has published extensively (more than 500 publications) and is Regular Chair of many international conferences. Amongst his awards is the 'Plasma Medicine Award', which is based on the lifetime achievement  from the International Society for Plasma Medicine in 2016.
