Dr. Vina Phei Sean Tan is a senior lecturer in the Department of Exercise & Sports Science, in the School of Health Sciences at the Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Tan specializes in clinical exercise prescription; exercise physiology; pediatric bone health; and musculoskeletal health. She is a recipient of the Young Investigator Award in 2014 from the International Osteoporosis Foundation and the New Investigator Award in 2015 from the European Calcified Tissue Society. Dr. Tan’s research interests include physical activity and bone health in youth, older adults and type 2 diabetics, as well as adolescent physical activity and sedentary behavior.
