Quantum-Grade Diamond for Cavity-based Solutions - Julia Langer
63,00 inkl. MwSt
Highly NV-doped bulk diamond is expected to find application as a laser crystal to promote the realization of diamond-based quantum technologies like solid-state masers, high sensitivity gyroscopes or multi-modal sensors. This dissertation elaborates on the synthesis of the desired quantum-grade diamond for cavity-based solutions and provides a deeper understanding on the essential factors.
Quantum technologies represent one of the latest achievements of humankind. In this context, synthetic diamond has been extensively studied over the past years due to its outstanding material properties. Especially nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond show high potential towards the realization of diamond-based quantum technologies. To be more precise, highly NV-doped bulk diamond is expected to find application as a laser crystal to promote the realization of solid-state masers, high sensitivity gyroscopes or multi-modal sensors. This dissertation discloses the demands on the material specifications of the desired diamond centerpiece and elaborates on its synthesis. Therefore, the entire development chain is considered for optimization. A solid approach towards quantum-grade diamond for cavity-based solutions is presented and a deeper understanding on the essential factors is provided.
