This monograph is devoted to analytical methods for the calculation of wave scattering from reasonably plane but rough surfaces. Along with classical concepts, the text includes new results and all calculations are presented in detail. The necessary mathematical background is summarized.
Wave Scattering From Rough Surfaces is devoted to analytical methods for calculating wave scattering from reasonably plane but rough surfaces, with the roughness being both deterministic and statistical in nature. Along with the classical concepts, the monograph includes some new results which were up to now only available in the general literature. A systematic development of the various methods allows the results to be presented in simple and universal forms. For the benefit of the reader, all calculations are given in detail and can easily be followed. The necessary mathematical background is summarized, and further details on well-known issues, for example, the Rayleigh hypothesis, are listed.
