This book is the perfect reference for cell biologists, immunologists and research clinicians to understand the foundations of inflammasomes and explore the therapeutic opportunities they present. Pharma researchers may also find this reference invaluable in devising new approaches to developing anti-inflammatory drugs.
Dr. Pablo Pelegrin is the principal investigator of the molecular inflammation research group at the Murcia BioHealth Research Institute-Hospital “Virgen de la Arrixaca in, Murcia, Spain. He has postdoctoral degrees from both the University of Manchester (UK), and from the University of Sheffield (UK). His PhD in developmental immunology was obtained with the University of Murcia. He is an honorary lecturer at the University of Manchester, and Editor of the Inflammasome Journal, published by De Gruyter Open. Dr. Pelegrin has researched the Inflammasome for the past 15 years and is one of the most prolific researchers in this multidisciplinary research area.
