Dr.Javid A. Parray is presently working as an Assistant professor in Department of Environmental Science Govt SAM Degree College, Budgam Jammu and Kashmir, India-190006. He is also running a DST SERB –YSS Research project “rhizospheric potential of Arnebia benthamii. He did his Post Doctorate Research Associate ship in a DBT funded project entitled “Tissue culture based network programme on saffron” and Ph.D. in Environmental Science with specialization in Plant microbe interaction on the topic entitled “Evaluating role of Rhizospheric bacteria in saffron culture” from University of Kashmir. He has a strong interest in studying the plant rhizosphere for determining their metabolic potential besides using plant tissue culture based technique like suspension culture for increasing and producing the constant supply of active metabolites. He has published many research articles in reputed, referred international and national journals. I have also authored many books on different themes like “Approaches to heavy metal stress tolerance in plants” & and sustainableagriculture: advances in plant metabolome and microbiome, with Elsevier. I was also awarded “Emerging scientist year award” by IndianAcademy of Environmental Science for the year 2015. Mohammad Yaseen Mir is presently working as an JRF in Research project funded by Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF & CC), Government of India along with G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development under National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS).
