Drug Transporters in Drug Disposition, Effects and Toxicity

Dr. Xiaodong Liu is a Professor at the College of Pharmacy, China Pharmaceutical University,. He was the chairman of the Chinese Pharmacological Society’s drug metabolism professional commission (CSSX).  Dr. Liu is also an active member of the Pharmacological Association and International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (ISSX). Dr. Liu received the Second Award of National Science and Technology Progress (2nd) and the First Award of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress (2nd). His research focuses on the pharmacokinetics in TCM, ABC transporter and blood brain barrier, drug-drug interactions and the effects of diseases on CYP450s/drug transporters, and he has published over 150 papers in these fields. Dr. Guoyu Pan is a principle investigator at Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a standing committee member of the cell therapy research and application branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biologyand the associate director of the CSSX youth committee. Dr. Pan’s research focuses on drug transporters and metabolic- enzyme-related liver and kidney injury, cellular pharmacokinetics and cell-therapy safety. He has published over 40 research articles in these fields.
