This book summarizes the development of nitrogen-rich energetic materials in the past decade and provides detailed knowledge on its applications in advanced areas.

Prof. Michael Gozin is a Faculty Member of the School of Chemistry (Faculty of Exact Sciences) at the Tel Aviv University (TAU) in Tel Aviv, Israel. He has B.Sc. degree in chemistry from the Hebrew University (Jerusalem) and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Organic Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel). Prior joining the TAU, Prof. Gozin had several industrial positions in PeproTech (NJ, US) and Clinical Microsensors (CA, US). He was also a Chairman of the National Committee in Chemistry and Materials of the Israeli National Institute of Standards. Prof. Gozin has authored over 90 scientific publications, 19 patents and patent applications, a book chapter. Prof. Gozin is an Editor-in-Chief of the Energetic Materials Frontiers journal and an Editorial Board member of Defence Technology journal.Prof. Leonid L. Fershtat graduated from the D. I. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology in 2012 (Faculty of the Higher Chemical College of the Russian Academy of Sciences). He received his Ph.D. degree from the N. D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry (the Russian Academy of Sciences) in 2015. He continued his research at the same institute and obtained his habilitation in organic chemistry in 2020. Prof. Fershtat has authored over 50 scientific publications and he is an Editorial Board Member of the Defence Technology and Energetic Materials Frontiers journals. Scientific interests of Prof. Fershtat include development of novel synthetic methodologies for preparation of nitrogen-containing heterocycles, and search for pharmacologically active and high energy heterocyclic compounds.
