This book highlights the latest developments and the author’s own research achievements in high speed pneumatic control theory and applied technology. Chiefly focusing on the control system and energy system, it presents the basic theory and pioneering technologies for aerospace and aviation, while also addressing e.g. pneumatic servo control theory, pneumatic nonlinear mechanisms, aerothermodynamics, pneumatic servo mechanisms, and sample applications of high temperature and high speed gas turbine systems in aerospace, aviation, and major equipment.

Yin Yaobao, Dr. Eng., is a Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Tongji University. He is also vice-chairman of the Shanghai Mechanical Engineering Society’s Fluid Power Transmission and Control Committee, a member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society’s Fluid Power Transmission and Control Committee, the member of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering’s Mechanical Power Committee, and a member of both Shanghai Society of Astronautics’ Automatic Control Committee and its Launcher Committee. His research areas include fluid power transmission and control theory in extreme environments, servo mechanisms and power units for aircraft, high speed hydraulic and pneumatic servo systems, servo valves, future energy and power control, and ocean wave energy converters.

Pneumatic actuators, driving elements and auxiliary parts.- High temperature and high speed gas turbine pump electrohydraulic energy system of aerocraft.- Application of pneumatic technology in attitude control of aerocraft.- Pneumatic DTH.- Pneumatic hydraulic piling hammer.- Application of pneumatic technology in fuel cell vehicle.- Pneumatic principle and device of oscillating water column wave power generation.
