Ali Cheshmehzangi, urbanist and urban designer by profession, is Associate Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, and Director of Urban Innovation Lab (UIL) and International Network for Urban-Rural Research (INURR). Ali has been the lead partner in China on the ELITH research programme. Chris Butters has 35 years of experience in several countries as practising architect, author, project manager, lecturer and consultant. Formerly director of Norwegian Architects for Sustainable Development (NABU) and senior consultant at the Ideas Bank Foundation, Chris has more recently been researcher at Warwick University, UK, on the ELITH programme.
