Jorge E. Corredor is a professor in the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico. He has been an Associate Director at the Caribbean Coastal Ocean Observing System, and a member on the governing committee of the US Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) Association. He earned his masters in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1972, and his Ph. D. in Oceanography at the University of Miami, Rosentiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) in 1978.
