This volume is dedicated to modeling in fluid mechanics and is divided into four chapters, which contain a significant number of useful exercises with solutions. The authors provide relatively complete references on relevant topics in the bibliography at the end of each chapter.

Igor Gaissinski is a senior scientist in the Aerospace Engineering at Technion –Israel Institute of Technology. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering (Russia) in 1971, received M.Sc. (Technical Sciences) and from Moscow State University (Russia) in 1975 received M.Sc. (Mathematics). He was awarded Ph.D. (mathematics and physics) in 1980 from Institute of High Temperature, Academy Sciences USSR, and was awarded his D.Sc. degree (mathematics and physics) from Russian Academy of Sciences in 1989. Since 1982, I. Gaissinski is senior researcher at Department of Theoretical Physics of All-Union Center for Surface and Vacuum Research Academy of Science USSR. Since 1980 until 1988 I. Gaissinski is senior lecturer at Department of High Mathematics of Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering. Since 2000 he is a senior scientist in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion. His fields of research are Differential and Integral equations, Fokker-Plank equation, Shell Models, Turbulence, Hydrodynamic Instabilities, Numerical Methods, Plasma Physics, Heat and Mass transfer, Spectroscopy and physical kinetics. He is a consultant to various researches in fluid mechanics. In 2011-2015 I. Gaissinski awarded grant ISF, No: 661/11. I. Gaissinski has published more than hundred scientific papers and four books. Vladimir Rovenski is a senior scientist and lecturer of the Mathematical Department at University of Haifa. He graduated from Novosibirsk State University (Russia) in 1976, received Ph.D. (mathematics and physics) from Mathematical Institute at Novosibirsk in 1985, and was awarded his D.Sc. degree (mathematics and physics) from Russian Academy of Sciences in 1994. Since 1996 V. Rovenski is full Professor of mathematics (Geometry chair at Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical University, Russia). Since 1998 he is a senior scientist in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and from 2004 to present he is a senior scientist and lecturer of the Mathematical Department at University of Haifa. His fields of research are Riemannian and Computational geometry and applied mathematics (modeling in anisotropic elasticity, piezoelectricity and fluid mechanics). In 2008–2010. V. Rovenski awarded grant P-IEF of Marie-Curie action No: 219696, and became a visiting professor of Lodz University; and in 2011–2014 he awarded grant P-ERG No: 276919 of Marie-Curie action. V.
