This book provides extensive information on high-temperature H2S removal for integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) coarse gas, together with briefly introductions to the concept of clean coal technology, and to the mechanism and kinetics of hot coal gas desulfurizers.

Readers will gain a comprehensive understanding of available control methods for high-temperature H2S removal in IGCC coarse gas and how the technology has been adopted by industry. As such, the book offers a unique resource for researchers and engineers in the fields of energy science and technology, environmental science and technology, and chemical engineering.

Jiang Wu has worked in the field of pollution emission controls for nearly 20 years, and studied in the field of H2S removal in the coarse coal gas of IGCC for more than 6 years. The author has conducted and charged more than 20 projects sponsored by China government, USA government, and industries, and published more than 50 journal papers and 30 proceedings.

Jiang Wu is the professor of the school of energy and environmental engineering, Shanghai University of Electric Power. He is the Pujiang Scholar, Shuguang Scholar and got the Baiyulan Scientific Fund sponsored by Shanghai government, got the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars sponsored by China State Education Ministry. He also awarded Government Specific Stipend by State Council of China.
