Full Professor at the Energy Department of College of Engineering, at São Paulo State University (UNESP); coordinator of the graduate program on Alternative Energy of that institution; member of the coordination board of the Research Institute in Bioenergy (IPBEN) - UNESP and coordinator of the Group of Optimization of Energy Systems: Conservation and Generation (GOSE). He received his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering at Federal University of Iatajubá and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Estate University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He has experience in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on thermodynamics and heat transfer, acting on the following subjects: cogeneration, thermoeconomics, fuel cells, thermal engineering and technology development of processes of biofuel production.
