This volume details advances in the molecular regulation of myelopoiesis, depicting current ideas about the way cells progress from progenitors in the bone marrow and spleen to mature erythoid cells, macrophages and neutrophilic granulocytes.
This volume details advances in the molecular regulation of myelopoiesis, depicting current ideas about the way cells progress from progenitors in the bone marrow and spleen to mature erythroid cells, macrophages and neutrophilic granulocytes. In particular, emphasis is on signal transduction and transcriptional regulation of genes encoding growth factor receptors, functional macrophage and promyelocyte proteins, as well as molecules that control proliferation. A main feature of the volume is the examination of abnormal regulation of myelopoiesis as seen in leukaemias and acute myelogenous leukaemias (AML) in humans.
