This book introduces the basic concepts, synthesis techniques, and applications of vertically-oriented graphene. The authors detail emerging applications of vertically-oriented graphene such as field emitters, atmospheric nanoscale corona discharges, gas sensors and biosensors, supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells (catalyst supports) and electrochemical transducers. Junhong Chen is a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at University of Wisconsin. Zheng Bo is an associate professor at the State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization of Zhejiang University. Ganhua Lu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of University of Alaska, Anchorage.
