Presents a concise compilation of the useful formulas, nomenclature, concepts, and data in physics. Intended as a complete reference to the commonly used data in physics, this book is suitable for students and researchers in physics as well as in fields related to physics, such as engineering, chemistry, and biology.
"The Physics Quick Reference Guide, 2/E" is a concise compilation of the essential formulas, nomenclature, concepts, and data in physics. Intended as a brief complete reference to the most commonly used data in physics, the book is intended for students and researchers in physics as well as in fields related to physics, such as engineering, chemistry, and biology. In addition to correcting errors and typos, the second edition improves on the first in the following ways: will include the new 1997 Revision of the CODATA Recommended Values of the Physical Constants; include the new recommended values for atomic weights issued summer 98; increased references and addition of "Additional Reading" section; new section on data handling and metrology; and expansion of essential math formulas. This book is an expansion of the first chapter of "Physicists Desk Reference", which includes data from all specific fields of physics. PGRG contains the data common to all fields of physics and related sciences. This book will be of interest to the broad scientific community and should be promoted to engineering communities as well as all physics pieces.
The Ideal launch is at the March 1999 APS Centennial meeting, along with the third edition of "Physicists Desk Reference".
