Helps readers develop data acquisition, organization, and analysis skills while teaching basic techniques.
Mastering the essential facts, concepts, and terminology of chemistry is important to success in the life sciences. Without this foundation, many students enrolled in biology, anatomy and physiology, zoology, nutrition, or environmental science courses do not have the knowledge they will need to understand the chemical processes that underlie critical biological functions. Using a time-tested, programmed approach, An Introduction to Chemistry for Biology Students , Seventh Edition is a unique workbook that takes students step-by-step through the chemistry necessary for success in life sciences courses.

George I. Sackheim is a genealogist and former science instructor at St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Evanston, Illinois. He held the positions of co-chairman of the Environmental Control Commission and member of the Board of Health in Skokie, Illinois. Sackheim is also an associate professor emeritus and former executive secretary of the chemistry department at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His experience includes holding the position of coordinator of biological and physical sciences, Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center School of Nursing.
