This book provides information on the recent advances in neural prosthetic techniques and applications. Divided into two sections, the first section details some of the most successful sensory and motor prosthetic devices available, paying particular attention to the current usefulness and future promise of the devices. The second section explores the growing field of brain-implantable devices for the control of artificial prosthetic devices or neural prosthetics.
