Anton Dohrn

Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Theodor Heuss, geboren 1884 in Brackenheim bei Heilbronn, gestorben 1963 in Stuttgart, war von 1924 - 1928 und 1930 - 1933 Mitglied des Reichstages. Nach Hitlers Machtübernahme freier Schriftsteller, 1945 wurde er Kultminister von Württemberg-Baden, 1948 Vorsitzer der FDP und Mitglied des Parlamentarischen Rates. Von 1949 - 1959 war Heuss der erste Präsident der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. 1959 wurde der Staatsmann mit dem Friedenspreis des Deutschen Buchhandels ausgezeichnet.

Margret Boveri, geboren 1900 in Würzburg als Tochter des bekannten Biologen Theodor Boveri und der amerikanischen Biologin Marcella O'Grady, gestorben 1975 in Berlin. Studium an der Deutschen Hochschule für Politik und Promotion bei Hermann Oncken. 1934 bis 1937 Tätigkeit für das Berliner Tageblatt, ab 1938 für die renommierte Frankfurter Zeitung. 1935 kurze Haft im Gestapo-Hauptquartier. Korrespondentin in Stockholm und New York; nach ihrer Ausweisung aus den USA 1942 für kurze Zeit in Lissabon und Madrid. Ab 1945 freie journalistische Tätigkeit. Boveri verfaßte Berichte aus dem geteilten Berlin bzw. journalistische Arbeiten für die Badische Zeitung, den Kurier, die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (ab 1956), Die Welt und Die Zeit.
